Ghost Stories - Federico Clavarino
Ghost Stories is a series of photographs that are connected by space but that occur at different times. In the gulf of Marseille is an archipelago called The Frioul. Through his images, Clavarino weaves together a series of events of an extraordinary nature that seem to be unrelated but are connected through the net of time. The islands were home to a XIV century fortress that was used as a prison in te XVII century. It was the also the place where The Count of Monte Cristo resided. And, would host the first rhinoceros to ever be seen in Europe. The inclement weather would cause the destruction of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's plane to fall down. His bracelet would be found decades later by a fisherman.
